Water lilies have several functions in a pond, which is why it is a favorite among ponders. Not only are they visually appealing and wonderfully fragrant, they provide your fish with cover and help keep the algae down in your posicionamiento web natural pond
Water lilies need at least 5 hours of sunlight a day and calm water. With water lilies you have many varieties to choose from, the two general types are hardy and tropical. Hardy water lilies will reward you year after year with abundant foliage and a wide variety of colorful flowers. Tropical water lilies have leaves with serrated edges and they stand above the water.

People are wising up to the fact that extending a home can significantly add value to it. If done sensibly, the value is usually more than the cost of the building work. Buying a new family home in the UK is becoming more expensive due to increasing house prices, so extending is a good alternative to moving. This plant deserves a full article all of its own. The Iris. There are 3 species of Iris which can be considered to be true aquatic plants for growing all year round in the shallows of a pond and i consider it to be unthinkable to have a collection of Marginals without having at least one of these beautiful plants growing in your pond. The most important species for the ordinary garden pond is Iris Ieavigata (Japnese Water Iris). The three petalled blooms are somwhere in the region of about 5 inches across and they are borne on 2 ft. high stems. The first flowers normally open in June and are clear blue with a yellow line down the centre of each petal. A second flush of blooms may appear in September depending on the climate that you are living in.
There are a number of varieties, you can choose from ‘Snowdrift’ (white with 6 petals), ‘Dorothy’ (blue with a white line down the centre of each petal), Continue Reading…
